Zoe-perry
Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as as seen through flashback) her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's early TV appearances. However, her parents didn't want her to take on acting roles until she was older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry said that she was too shy to act at the age of 16, but she began doing shows in theater classes at Northwestern University as a way to connect with people following her transfer to the university from Boston University. Perry was able to land tiny TV roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent when she finished her degree. However, her homesickness brought her back to California again where she began to work in the stage. Her mother and she appeared on Broadway with her for the play The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she appeared alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared nine times in the ABC drama The Family, in 2016. In 2017 she had her own recurring part on The ABC drama about politics Scandal starring her father. The actress also portrayed her young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. The actress was chosen for the role despite having a close relationship with the character's family.
