Suzy Kolber (born Suzanne Lisa Kolber) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on the 14th of May 1964. Her parents are Jewish. Her current age is the age of 58. Her mother's name is Sandra Kolber and her father is Gene Kolber. She went to Sandy Run Middle School in Dresher Pennsylvania and is a 1982 alumni of Pennsylvania's Upper Dublin High School. She later received her degree from the University of Miami in 1986 with the Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications. While still a student at undergraduate level, she landed in the position of sports director of Dynamic Cable Coral Gables Florida. Additionally, she worked for Dynamic Cable for two years, from 1984 to 1986. Also, she was part of the University of Miami water skiing team in this period. When she was a teenager, Plaza was a part of the community theater in her hometown of Wilmington acting, performing improv, and directing one-act plays. After graduating from the high school she moved to New York City. There she attended classes of improv as well as film making at Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. At age 20 she suffered a stroke that caused the temporary occurrence of expressive aphasia (a problem with the expressive and comprehension of the language).
